Can Reese Weight Distribution System Be Installed on Flagstaff V Lite Trailer
Question:
Will this hitch work on my flagstaff v lite. I am thinking it would be difficult to tighten the chain without hitting the trailer with the tool

Actually when you raise the chains onto the chain hangers you don't have to use the pipe. The best way to get the chains on the hangers is to use the trailer jack to raise the tongue of the trailer (with it connected to the hitch ball), which will relieve spring bar tension and will allow the chains to easily slip on the hangers without having to use the pipe to leverage them on.
You should note that the part # RP26002 is just the sway control of a Reese weight distribution system. For an entire system the part # RP66084 would be what you are looking for if your tongue weight falls between 600 and 1,200 lbs.
If the trailer you have is a V-nose you may have to use different hangers anyway. The part number # RP58305 will bolt to the side of the trailer frame and does not require clearance above the trailer frame.
