Transmission Cooler Replacement Recommendation for a 2005 Acura MDX that Tows

Question:

I am looking for a transmission cooler that is external to the Acura MDX radiator 2005. I no longer want to use the cooler built into the radiator as it is know to fail over time. This cooler needs to have the capacity to tow with the vehicle as well. Do you have such a cooler? note: this is not a auxiliary cooler to the existing cooler but a replacement for the existing cooler.

We can definitely help. Since you are looking for a transmission cooler to replace what you have on your 2005 Acura MDX you would want to go with as large of a cooler as you can fit in the most efficient cooler style.

Stacked plate coolers are by far the best efficient style. The part # D13403 would be a great option. It measures 13" Wide x 7-5/16" tall x 2" deep and comes with an install kit.

You would just need to route your transmission lines from your old cooler to this one and you would be good to go.
