Recommendation for Leveling 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4x4 When Towing Travel Trailer
Question:
I bought a travel trailer with 760lb tongue weight. I am anticipating rear sag when I hook it up to my 2008 Silverado 1500 4x4. Which summospring would best help me with the rear sag issue? I have a leveling kit installed up forward so my truck is perfectly leveled when not trailering. Is the SSR-209-40 good for my application? I am concerned the 1/2-1 1/2inch spacing between the sumospring and axle wont minimize the rear sag enough....any other sumospring options? What are you thoughts? Thanks!

The only SumoSprings we offer that are confirmed to fit your truck are the Super Springs SumoSprings Custom Helper Springs Kit # SSR-209-40, that you referenced. These jounce-style suspension enhancement springs are designed to help level your truck while also preventing sag and working to reduce bottoming out.
The best solution I recommend to keep your truck level while towing is a weight distribution system. A weight distribution system will help distribute the trailer's tongue weight load between the front and rear axles, rather than having the entire tongue weight on the rear axle only. I have attached a help article on weight distribution for you.
A weight distribution system should be chosen based on the trailer's loaded and ready to tow tongue weight. This also includes any weight loaded in the truck behind the rear axle. Many weight distribution systems also help stop trailer sway. One of my favorite weight distribution systems is the Equal-I-zer Weight Distribution System. It is best to choose a weight distribution system where your trailer's loaded tongue weight falls in the middle of the system's capacity.
For example, if your trailer weights no more than 10,000 pounds when it is loaded and ready to tow, and the tongue weight is not more than 1,000 pounds, the Equal-I-zer Weight Distribution System with 4-Point Sway Control # EQ37100ET is a great option.
