Information Needed To Specify Replacement Trailer Axle for 6x12 Enclosed Trailer

Question:

My enclosed cargo trailer is a 6X12. It measures 93inch wide from fender to fender. My GVWR is 2990 on a Dexter axle and leaf spring suspension, 5 lugs and no brakes. I am shopping for a 3500 LB axle, 5 lugs with brakes. I cant seem to find one that will fit my trailer. can you please assist?

In order to see if the stock axles we offer would work for your needs, I'll need more information from you.

I'd need to know the hub face to hub face dimension, as well as the spring center to spring center distance. I'll provide a diagram showing the exact dimensions I need. For instance, the # e43SR axle you specified has a 89 inch hub face length and a 74 inch distance between the spring centers.

A 3500 lb axle with a 5 bolt lug usually uses a 4-1/2 inch bolt circle, so I'll also need to know your exact wheel bolt pattern. The FAQ article I'll link to shows how to measure this.

If you're wanting to reuse your existing hubs, I'll need to know the inner and outer bearing reference numbers, as well as the diameter of your hub bore where the grease seal sits and the diameter of the spindle where the grease seal rides. A digital caliper like # PTW80157 is the best way to get a highly accurate diameter measurement.
