Recommended Trailer Hitch And Wiring For 2012 Hyundai Tucson
Question:
i watched your video for hitch and wiring harness on 2012 Hyundai Tucson. Hyundai says towing capacity is 2000lb. we dont want to tow much...small trailer to haul mulch, etc. what hitch do you sell that will handle some towing but not destroy my drivetrain?

The hitches we offer for your 2012 Tuscon may have a much higher towing capacity but you always want to stay below the lowest rated component, in this case your vehicle.
The trailer hitch I recommend for your Tuscon is the Draw-Tite Max-E-Loader, part # 75717. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening.
If you plan on doing some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not include a ball mount with the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, check out the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
If your trailer has lights and you do not have a trailer connector at the back of your Tucson I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part # 118501. You just install the harness to the connection points behind the trim panels in the rear cargo area, run the hot lead wire to the positive post of your battery, and that's it.
I have attached a link to an installation video for this wire harness you can check out.
