Trailer Passenger Brake Light Works But Blinker Does Not on 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager
Question:
! have a 1998 Gr. Voyager with this harness installed. All lights on the vehicle work properly however my trailers passenger side brake light works but not the blinker same bulb?. I have narrowed this down to the vehicle or harness as the problem exists on both my trailers. I thought I had a bad harness but after replacing it with this one the same problem exists. All other trailer lights work fine. Can you help me with this? Thank you.

I recommend testing the wiring harness for a malfunction. Using a circuit tester, like # PTW2993, test the wires going into the converter box for the proper function. If, when you test the right blinker, the signal is absent or otherwise incorrect, then there is a problem with the vehicle wiring, possibly a ground problem with the right taillight.
If the functions are all correct, test the wiring coming out of the converter box. If the signals going in are correct, but wrong coming out, then there is a problem with the internal components of the converter box and the harness will need to be replaced. If the function is correct, move on to test the 4-Way connectors functions. I have included a video below on the procedure for testing a converter.
If the function are correct going in and coming out of the box, but wrong at the 4-Way, check for any corrosion, loose, or broken wires. The last thing to check would be the trailer wiring and connectors. Any dirt or corrosion can cause a malfunction. Also check the grounds and look for any loose or broken wires.
