Does 2014 Ford F-150 Integrated Brake Controller need HydraStar Adapter to Use with EOH Actuator
Question:
I have 2014 f350 with integrated brake controller. have 12 volts to 7 way plug, so I disconnected from tow vehicle and applied 12 volts to Carlisle hydrastar from new battery with a good ground and the carlisle just hums and wont set brakes when jacked off the floor and will not apply when hooked to tow vehicle either. is there a compatibility problem or could it be the Carlisle unit not working properly. or am I missing something here. thanks:

In order for the brakes to operate correctly with the Hydrastar actuator, you will need the Control Adapter Module, part # HBA-CAM. You will just simply attach the blue wire to the blue wire on your actuator and the white wire to the white wire on the actuator.
The 2014 Ford integrated brake controllers are notorious for not wanting to work right with the Hydrastar actuators like part # HBA-10.
