Curt Triflex Controller Shows Decimal Point and 2.o

Question:

Installed 7 blade n 4-wire flat multi-tow hitch harness. Astro had eight wires, all matched up except small white wire which I found it is Hi-Cntr Mount Brake. Not sure which wire to connect it to or leave hanging. Then I installed trifles brake controller with harness. Without trailer connected, the controller displays . at all times. When I drive, the output display flashes 2.0 almost constantly. Took it to uhaul center and they suggested to rewire entire van for $300. The tow wiring appears to come out the back of the rear right brake light and thru the floor to harness. Also they asked me about a relay where turn signals and brake wiring merge which I had no clue what they were talking about. Does ABS affect the controller? Just need assistance to get the controller to stop flashing constantly

For the Curt Trifles the " . " means that the controller is in standby mode with not trailer connected.

"2.0" flashing constantly means that it is in output adjustment mode.

Have you tried connecting to a trailer to see if it works or not?

You were correct in not wiring the CHMSL wire to the 7-way so it sounds like you may have everything set up properly.

You might run through the setup process for the controller that is in the install instructions link I attached to see if it just needs to be set up.

The brake controller will not affect your ABS.
