Auto Slider Fifth Wheel Hitch Recommendation for a 2016 Ford F-250 and 2013 F-150 5-1/2 ft Bed

Question:

Current vehicle: 2013 Ford F150 w 5foot 7inch bed. Tow package with EcoBoost V6. Upgrading in 1 year to 2016 F250 w 6foot 9inch bed. Just purchased a 5th wheel trailer. Would like to purchase just 1 hitch that could be reinstalled from current to future truck. I assume I will need an auto slider for current truck but maybe a manual slider would work as well. Need expert advice! Best regards,

We do offer one fifth wheel hitch that would have an auto slider that would give you enough clearance to be used on a truck with a 5-1/2 foot bed and a 6-1/2 foot bed.

For that you would want the Demco 13k Hijacker part # DM8550040. As long as the trailer you plan to tow will weigh less than 13k when loaded this would be the perfect solution.

For a set of fifth wheel rails for the 2016 F-250 you would want the part # DM8552000-71 for a custom install set of rails.

For the 2013 F-150 you would want the part # RP56006-53 which has been confirmed to fit as well.
