Recommended Base Plates for Flat Towing 2005 Jeep Wrangler
Question:
I would like to get the brackets and hardware that would mount to a second Jeep Wrangler 2005. I dont need the parts that plug into that. I would be using the ones I have. Thanks for your assistance.

It sounds like you already have a flat towing set-up and you're looking to get base plates for a second vehicle, your 2005 Jeep Wrangler. We can help.
Jeep base plate fits are shown on the linked page. Just select the type of bumper you have using the drop-down menu tool at the top of the page. I suggest you try to use base plates from the same maker as your tow bar since this will reduce the complexity and cost for the set-up; if you stay with one brand you'll not need adapters to join the tow bar and base plates.
For example, if you have a Blue Ox Adventurer, Aventa, Aladdin, Alpha or Allure tow bar you can directly connect it to base plates # BX1120.
You may care to have a look at the linked article on flat towing. This outlines each of the components required for safe and legal flat towing in the 50 states. Sometimes other items can be needed, like a wiring extension # BX88206 and/or a high/low hitch adapter such as # RM-048-8 that will help you keep your tow bar level (or at least within 3-inches of level).
Always check the vehicle owner's manual for any guidance regarding flat towing.
