Reese Trunnion Weight Distribution Recommendation for Trailer with Tongue Weight of 400 lbs
Question:
2016 Tacoma pulling 3600 lb RV. Can I use a Reese trunion and do they have one for a tongue weight of 350 to 400 lbs?

Expert Reply:
For a Reese weight distribution system recommended for use with a tongue weight of 350-400 lbs the part # RP66540 would be a great choice as it uses trunnion spring bars and has a tongue weight range of 200 lbs - 600 lbs which would be perfect for you.
You should note that the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle counts as tongue as well.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
