Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendations for a 2016 Toyota Tacoma
Question:
Im trying to install the Draw-Tite 75236 on my 2016 Tacoma and my truck only has 3 bolts connecting each side of the frame to the bumper as opposed to the 5 shown. The two bolts that would require the spacer arent there. How do I adjust the bumper width so that the hitch can slide in? Thanks.

The problem that you have is that Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75236 is not a fit for the 2016 Toyota Tacoma so you will not be able to install it. For your Tacoma I recommend Curt trailer hitch # C13264. This hitch bolts to the bottoms of the frame rails and to the center support beam. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
If your 2016 Tacoma did not come with a factory trailer connector then I recommend # C59236 to add a 4-Way flat connector to the rear of the truck.
