Recommended Air Compressor and Tank Kit To Allow Air Bag Inflation and Ability to Air Vehicle Tires

Question:

This system is advertised for having two air lines, one to each air shock, so they can level an unequal load by having each air shock at a different psi. Would it be possible to set this up such that one air line goes to the air shocks in an equal pressure setup and the other line as an external port. With this port I could hook up an air hose and use the same compressor for putting air in the vehicles tires? Im thinking of a case where I air down the tires to drive on sand. Then later, want to re-inflate them for highway use.

I have a solution for you, but the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System # AL74000 is not designed to be used with an air tank. I spoke with my contact at Air Lift and he confirmed that the # AL74000 will not work with an air tank.

We have several options for air compressors and tanks that will work great for what you are wanting to do. I recommend the Firestone Air Command II, Analog, Heavy Duty Compressor with Air Tank and 25 Foot Hose # F2549. This kit will provide you with all of the components needed to allow you to control the air in each air bag independently while also providing a connection to be able to air up your vehicle tires. The heavy-duty air compressor and 2-gallon air tank in the kit will help inflate the air bags faster and provide an air supply to air up your vehicle tires.

This system is a wired system, which we have found to be more reliable than similar wireless systems. The wires can be hidden under the dash so the wired system doesn't take away from the aesthetic of the truck. The dual-gauge control unit will mount in the cab of your truck to allow you to monitor the pressure and inflate the air bags independently from inside the cab. The included air tank service hose will work well to inflate your tires.

I have attached the installation instructions for the # F2549 kit for you. The way this kit is connected will allow you to still control the air bags independently of each other while also providing a connection for the air hose to air up your vehicle tires.
