How to Determine if the Lippert 3 inch Axle Kit can Be Installed on a Trailer

Question:

My trailer has a 3inch underslung axle tube. The springs are 25.25inch long when not under load. The front spring hanger bolt is 7inch below the bottom of the frame. The rear of the spring is mounted on a 2inch shackle which connects to the rear hanger bolt that sits 3inch below the frame. This is an off road trailer model. Since the angle on the tie plate is not listed anywhere, I cant do the math to figure out if this set if shocks is long enough to reach. Have I provided enough information for you to figure out if it would work? If so, please let me know if these are long enough or not.

I have spoken to the techs at Lippert and what they are informing me is that these shock kits are aftermarket installs that can be equipped to MOST units.

However, not all units may be able to accommodate these shock kits. The measurements we will need if you are looking to install a shock kit is the measurement from the center of the spring by the spring seat to where the shock mount would be bolted/welded on the diagonal side. The shock for the 3in axle tube mount kit has a compressed length of 8.625" and an extended length of 13.5". If the measurement doesn't fall within this distance then the shock mount kit may not work on the unit.
