Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2014 Ford F250 Short Bed With Existing B & W Turnover Ball Gooseneck Hitch

Question:

I just purchased a used 2014 F-250 diesel, 6 foot 8 inch bed. It came with a BandW Turnoverball gooseneck hitch installed but I want to install my slider hitch to tow my travel trailer. Does the turnover ball gooseneck hitch interfere with installing a Reese 50073-58 quick install rail kit? If so, is there any other rail kit I can purchase or adaptor that uses the gooseneck ball hitch that would make the new install easier?

Since you already have the B & W Turnover Ball installed, you can simply use the B & W Companion, part # BWRVK3400-5W. The Companion is specifically designed to install into the Turnover Ball hitch, providing a sliding fifth wheel hitch with 12 inches of travel for low speed maneuvering.

It wouldn't be possible to install the Reese # rail kit because the existing mounting brackets for your Turnover Ball would interfere.

If you don't already have a 7-way connector installed in your truck bed, you can install one using the Hopkins # 41157.
