Fitment of Super Springs Sumo Springs on a 2013 Winnebago Class A RV with a F-53 Chassis

Question:

SSF-182-54 Sumo Springs Front Suspension Kit - I am considering this for my Winnebago Class A RV on a 2013 F53 Ford chassis. I know there is no installation video for this, but I did see pictures. 1. How does it bolt to frame at the bottom? It looks as if it just sitting on the frame. 2. Is this the correct part for my unit? 3. What would PN for the rear be? Thanks

You are correct that the Sumo Springs Solo # SSF-170-40-2 is the correct front axle kit for your 2013 Ford F-53 chassis.

This spring will replace your factory jounce bumper assembly on your frame. So it will not actually connect at the bottom of the spring. The bottom of the spring will brace the axle under weight and pressure from the RV when needed creating a smoother supported ride. The product is designed to enhance load carrying ability, stabilize sway, and improve overall driver control and comfort.

There are a few options for the rear suspension springs for your F-53 Chassis. A popular option is the # SSR-180-54-1. I went ahead and linked all the rear suspension springs for you to check out.

I've attached a video of a similar spring being installed so you can see how they would mount and then use the axle to brace the bottom of the spring for your convenience.
