Recommended Replacement 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket For 2015 Chevrolet Silverado
Question:
Hi. Am I able to purchase the Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket by itself, without the mounting bracket? I will be getting a used 2015 Silverado and I think it will just snap in the existing hole in the bumper, where the oval blank is currently. Please advise. Thank you.

The mounting bracket that is included with the Pollak 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket, part # HM40975 does not have to be used when installing if you already have a mounting bracket on the Silverado.
You can take a look at the bracket mounting hole shape and if that is what you find on the Silverado, this can simply snap into the OEM bracket. Check out the link to the attached installation video that shows how this is installed. I have attached a photo that shows the dimensions of the bracket.
When working with electrical connectors I recommend using dielectric grease like part # 11755. This keeps dirt and moisture out of the electrical connections and helps prevent corrosion.
