Cushioned 8 inch Drop Ball Mount Recommendation
Question:
What I will be towing is a bumper pull camper. Specs below Dry weight: 6,740 lbs Water weight tank full: 467 lbs Prop Tanks full: 74 lbs Plus cargo/gear What I am wondering is should I go with Draw-tite Ball Mount 7inch Rise or 8inch Drop, 12,000 lbs or the Convert-A-Ball Cushioned Ball Mount for 2inch Hitches - 6-3/4inch Rise - 8inch Drop - 10,000 lbs? Does the cushion really make that much of a difference? I have determined that I am pretty sure I will need the 8inch as I have a Ram 2500 that is lifted 6inch and has 35s. Your input and expertise would be greatly appreciated as reading through all of the reviews you seem to really be on top of the knowledge and customer service. Thanks in advance,

I attached a help article on how to pick out the correct rise/drop ball mount so that you can tow your trailer level.
For an 8 inch drop ball mount Cushioned part # AMSC8 would be a great choice. The customers who have reviewed this ball mount all love it so I am confident you will too.
For a 2 inch ball you would need the part # 40038, for a 2-5/16 inch ball part # C40007, and for a 1-7/8 inch ball part # 19260.
