Will Snow on the Ground Set Off the Hopkins Backup Sensor System
Question:
How does the Hopkins Backup Sensor System HM60100VA deal With Snow? Does it alarm until the snow is cleared or does it enter an error condition and cease to work? Thinking of adding it to my 2004 Toyota Tundra Double Cab.

Snow on the ground should not set off the Hopkins Backup Sensor System # HM60100VA unless the snow is deep enough. It might be able to sense one patch of snow if everything around it is pavement but its not likely. If snow accumulates on the bumper in front of the sensors then that is likely to set it off.
I had this Hopkins system with a backup camera and it was on a smaller vehicle than your 2004 Toyota Tundra and I never had problems with snow setting off the alarm.
