I will be happy to make some roof rack recommendations for your 2016 Subaru Forester with the factory side rails. My top pick is the Thule AeroBlade Edge, # TH7502B-TH7502B for black bars or # TH7502-TH7502 for silver bars.

The Thule AeroBlade bars have a wing shape for less wind resistance and noise compared to round or square bars. They are made of light weight aluminum for both strength and corrosion resistance. And the Edge versions look more like a factory roof rack than other models.

My second recommendation is for an Inno system using bars # INXB100-2 and foot pack # INXS100. This system has a similar design as the AeroBlade Edge system but the bars are more symmetrical rather than wing-shaped.

And for the most economical system I recommend another Inno system using square bars, # INB117, and feet # INFR. The square bars create more drag and noise but they are functional. I have included links to videos on these roof racks for you as well.
