Replacement 5th Wheel Landing Gear Motor for Venture 9000

Question:

I am looking to change the landing gear motor on my 2011 Palomino Sabre 31RETS 5th wheel. It is a Venture Model #9000, Ser.# 160483. It is getting slower and slower and sometimes stops completely and blows the inline fuse. Ive put grease in the tubes to grease the gears/shaft. We are weekend campers, maybe 5-6 times a year, so not getting a ton of use. I talked to Palomino service and Lippert Components Tech. Palomino didnt offer much help and referred me to Lippert. Lippert suggested a Tuson motor. My question is: should I go with the high speed Tuson #Lc141893 or the heavy duty Tuson #196308? Base on what Ive told you, do you think this would solve my problem? Thank You.

You can replace your Venture landing gear motor with either the standard OEM unit # LG-142178 or with a Lippert Tuson high-speed unit # LC141893 or heavy-duty motor # LC196308. Any one of these motors will operate your Lippert landing gear.

Your original motor becoming slower and slower in operation is likely due to aging and exposure during off-season storage. I do not expect that either of the upgraded motors will be better able to resist this exposure. The HD unit # LC196308 will operate with more safety margin and the high-speed unit # LC141893 will raise and lower the gear faster than the OEM motor but all will have the same tendency to wear and age.
