Ski/Snowboard Carrying Options for 2010 Nissan Xterra w/ Round Tubular Side Roof Rails

I have two tubular rails approx 2-inch diameter that run the length of the roof and no crossbar. do I need crossbars AND some ski racks?

We do have a solution for carrying skis/snowboards on your 2010 Nissan Xterra. You'd need to install crossbars like the Rhino Rack Vortex Aero, which consists of the following parts:
44 inch long Vortex Aero Crossbar # RRVA118B-2 for black or # RRVA118S-2 for silver
SX series roof rack legs, part # RRSX008
With the rack in place, you can then install a ski/snowboard carrier. I'd recommend the Rhino-Rack # RR576 which can carry 6 pairs of skis or up to 4 snowboards.
