Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for a 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500 Short Bed  

Question:

If I install a BandW 3300 5th wheel into the bed of a 2016 Chevrolet 3500 with standard bed 6 1/2 will I have enough cab clearance for my 2015 Montana 3160?

Since you have a 6-1/2 foot bed you are going to need a slider hitch to allow you to make sharp turns without cab/trailer interference. The # BWRVK3300 is a stationary hitch so it would not be ideal for you. Plus it's designed to fit Ford hitch prep packages.

You would need to go with a slider hitch like the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ S20 Slider # C95DR.

For a rail kit you will want to go with a custom install kit like the part # RP56001-53 which will install in about half the time as a universal kit and will minimize drilling.
