Fit of DeeZee Red Label # DZ8170LB Toolbox in Bed of 2015 GMC Sierra Short Bed

Question:

Hello. I just watched a nice video of a shiny black DEEZEE Red Label Truck Toolbox, Low PROFILE. Says its 69 3/4inch long, 20inch wide, 12inch Tall tool box. **I want to purchase this tool box. But, I want to make sure there is a snug fit between the tool box and where the tool box sets down. I notice most tool boxes have about a 4-5inch gap between toolbox and the truck. I do not like that because the toolbox slides back and forth, scratching my 2015 GMC Sierra. With due respect, I want the tool box to sit snug tight down on the truck, please. Please read this, and let me know if your tool box will fit snug fit all the way across a full size 2015 GMC Sierra in the back of the truck without moving side to side. Thank you!

The base of the DeeZee # DZ8170LB truck bed toolbox measures 60-3/4 in width. I wasn't able to find a 100 percent confirmed width of your truck bed at the top between the bed side rails, but the width of 63-1/2 inches kept coming up. If that's the case, there will be a 2-3/4 inch difference in the width of the box and the width of the truck bed. If the toolbox is centered, that'd be about 1-3/8 inches per side, which is a pretty good fit. Just to be sure, I'd recommend you measure the width of your truck bed at the front, between the top rail of the bed sides since I cannot confirm that 63-1/2 inch width.

If you use a quality set of mounts like the DeeZee # DZ97904, you won't need to worry about the box scooting around and scratching the paint. The mounts are sold in pairs, I'd recommend using two sets to ensure the box doesn't move.
