Will Foot Operated Lift Gate Still Function When Trailer Hitch is Installed

I have a 2015 Lincoln MKC I want to put a trailer hitch on. It has the foot switch for the lift gate. How will this work?

The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2015 Lincoln MKC is the Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75943. I confirmed with my contact at Draw-Tite that the hitch will still allow you to operate the liftgate with the foot control.

You may need to be more animated with the foot motion to operate the liftgate, and it is best to move to the left or right of the hitch receiver for the vehicle to pick up the motion.

The # 75943 hitch offers a 2 inch trailer hitch receiver with a tongue weight of 525 pounds and a gross towing weight of 3,500 pounds. No drilling or welding is required to install the hitch, installation requires bolting the hitch to pre-existing holes in the frame.
