Troubleshooting Locking Knob of Swagman Bike Rack Where Core Comes Out
Question:
The lock for the locking knob does not stay inside the knob. It does function properly in that it allows the knob to free spin without moving on the threads. The only problem is the lock does not stay in the knob. Am I doing something wrong with the lock or is it damaged. Both locks I have do the same thing.

If the lock core wants to come out of the knob then that would indicate that the knob is broken on your Swagman bike rack or that the screw on the back side of the knob has comes loose. Make sure that screw isn't missing or loose.
For a replacement knob the part # P1040 would be the correct part number.
