Tire chains are definitely a good idea for plowing snow. We have chains that will fit your 245/75R16 tires that can be used for pavement and for more off road applications such as Titan chains # TC2821CAM. I also recommend adjusters # TCSA2 to keep the chains tight and centered.

For even better traction I recommend chains # TC2221SHD which have square links. Square links offer the best traction. I also recommend adjusters # TCSA2 to keep the chains tight and centered.
