The 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe with factory tow package has a bundle of wires tied together with white tape, under the dash, located left of the brake pedal. There is not a connector on the end of these wires so the Hopkins Agility Electric Brake Controller, item # HM47294, will need to be spliced directly to these wires with the included connectors. We have an article outlining the process (see link).
If you would like the brake controller to be quickly removable, you can use the Hopkins Plug-in Simple Brake Wiring Adapter, item # HM47795, and remove the connector from the end. You would attach the connector that mates with the one on the brake controller to the vehicle wiring and then just plug the brake controller in when needed. Many customers do this when they need a brake controller for more than one vehicle. If you only need the controller for one vehicle you can just sever the connector from the back of the Agility and hard wire the brake controller.
If your 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe did not come with the 7-Way connector at the rear and you need a connector you can use the Replacement Multi-Tow 7-Way and 4-Way Trailer Connectors for Ford, GM Trucks with Factory 7 Way, item # 30955, and connect it to the connector located above the spare tire at the rear of the vehicle.
