Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2011 Audi Q5
Question:
I saw a small note that I may need to do something special for the back up camera when installing the trailer hitch. Any idea what that involves?

On your 2011 Audi Q5, models that have the backup camera could have a slightly different fascia that apparently could hang down a little further requiring a little bit of trimming around the square part of the trailer hitch # 75940. It does not affect every vehicle though (actually seems to be rare since it is not mentioned in the instructions nor had the manufacturer heard of this issue) and could be a situation where it depends on which factory the vehicle was assembled in but the details remain to be seen.
If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
If the ball mount kit does not have the right rise or drop to tow the trailer level, use the link I have included that explains how to measure to choose a ball mount to tow the trailer level.
And for a trailer wiring harness for models that did not come with one I recommend # 119250KIT to add a 4-Way flat connector at the back of the vehicle.
