Hitch Ball for 2003 Dodge Ram Pickup with Bumper Hitch
Question:
Hello, I have a 2003 Dodge Ram ST regular cab pickup. It has the tow package installed. I would like to get a 2 inch ball for the bumper hitch. What would I need to buy? Thanks,

It is common for bumper mount hitches to use hitch balls with a 1 inch shank diameter. I recommend confirming that your 2003 Dodge Ram uses a hitch ball with a 1 inch shank. Also, often a longer shank is needed when a hitch ball is used with a bumper hitch.
If you find your vehicle needs a hitch ball with a 1 inch diameter shank, I recommend the Curt Hitch Ball with 2 Inch Diameter and Long Shank # C40020. This hitch ball has a 2 inch diameter ball, 1 inch diameter shank, and the shank is 3 inches in length. This hitch ball is rated for 6,000 pounds gross towing weight.
I have attached a link to all of our 2 inch diameter hitch balls with a 1 inch diameter shank.
