Recommended Spare Tire Bike Rack and Adapter Bar for 2008 Toyota RAV4
Question:
Will the Yakima Y02599 2-bike carrier over the spare tire work on a 2008 Toyota Rav4? And do I need to buy a bike adapter bar to use for a womens bike? And, if so, which one should I get the Y02531 or another?

I do recommend using an adapter bar like the Yakima Tube Top Bike Adapter Bar # Y02531 when carrying women's bikes. The adapter bar will provide an attachment point for the bike rack that will allow the bike to be carried level. The # Y02531 is a great choice for an adapter bar.
