Ladder Rack Recommendation for Carrying Canoe in Bed of 2003 Toyota Tundra Short Bed
Question:
I have a 2003 Tundra short bed extended cab truck and it came with a cross bed type tool box. I am looking for a way to carry my canoe when I tow my camper and was curious if the ladder rack might work. If so which model or models would work out best.

For a ladder rack confirmed to fit the bed of your 2003 Toyota Tundra that would work well with your tool box and would be great for carrying a single canoe the Erickson ladder rack part # EM07708 would work well.
This rack has a 250 lb capacity, can be installed behind your tool box and is adjustable in width to accommodate even a wide canoe.
You will also want to make sure you have straps to secure the canoe to your vehicle and to secure the bow and stern. Straps such as # 753-2030-02 will work well to secure your canoe to your vehicle. Bow and stern tie downs, such as # Y04031, will help you secure the front and back of the canoe.
