Kuat Sherpa Bike Rack Compatibility with 2-Inch Hitch on 2015 Dodge Durango

Question:

2015 Dodge Durango Curt 2inch hitch Receiver C13182 Is this the correct receiver for a Kuat Sherpa bike rack? As you know the Kuat Sherpa comes with 1.25 inch receiver size with attachment to increase to 2. Is there 1.25inch receiver for the 2015 Dodge or are they all 2 Thank you for your help.

The Kuat Sherpa 2-Bike Platform hitch racks, part # SH22B in black, will work with any hitch made for your Durango. For the 2015 Dodge Durango 2-inch Class III hitches are offered. Even if a smaller 1-1/4-inch Class II hitch were available I would still recommend the 2-inch size for its greater weight-handling capacity and broader compatibility with accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers.

If you have a smaller donut spare tire use Curt hitch # C13182 that you referenced. Tow hooks, if present, will be permanently removed if you choose the Curt hitch. All hitches will install with their included hardware. The basic hand tools required are listed in the linked instructions for each hitch. A torque wrench like # ALL944001 will be needed to tighten the fasteners to the correct specs. You can refer to the linked install video for guidance.
