All of the Pro Series 16K slider 5th wheel hitches offered for you 2008 Ram 2500 Quad cab have a height adjustment range of 13 to 17-inches. Curt E16 series 16K sliding 5th wheel hitch # 16516 has a height adjustment range of 15 to 17-inches while their A16 Series hitch # C16521 that you asked about has a taller head unit that gives it a height range of 17-1/2 to 21-1/2-inches. The E16 Series hitch will be closer in height range to your original Pro Series slider.
If your hitched trailer was at or very close to level with the old hitch then # 16516 will be a suitable replacement. On the other hand if you found your trailer tended to be nose-down then the taller A16 hitch would be a better choice. Either will fit into your existing industry-standard base rails.
