What do I need to Install a Brake Controller on a 1982 Chevrolet K10 Blazer
Question:
Im interested in parts to install this controller on my 1982 K10 Blazer, without tow package. Ive seen your installation videos on YouTube and dont find one for vehicle without tow package. Also I need the 7point connector that would normally be mounted on my 1999 8x16 enclosed Pace dual axle trailer, someone cut it off and put the flat four prong type plug in its place. Im checking out the brakes now to see if they did this because they no longer worked or needed work. Dexter electronic drum brakes.

I think we have just the video for you. It is of a Tekonsha Prodigy being installed with a new 7-Way using the ETBC7 kit on a 1993 Chevrolet Suburban. Not the same vehicle, but it is close enough that you should be able to follow it with no problem. Once you have a working 4-Way on your Blazer, this video will walk you through the rest of the way. It will get a 7-Way wired up and a brake controller installed. The Tekonsha Prodigy has been phased out and replaced with the Prodigy P2, part # 90885.
We also have the 7-Way trailer end connector you are looking for. You can use something like Pollak part # PK12706 if you have enough wire. If you want one with wire leads, you can use Hopkins part # H20042.
I have added links to the parts and the video below.
