Replacement Follower Leg For Landing Gear On 2007 Wilderness Fleetwood Trailer

Question:

I have a 2007 wilderness fleetwood, my follower leg broke off and I need to replace it. The # is VMC900L-192958. It also looks as if it had dual power jacks and someone cut the wires and just put in single motor jacks. The trailer has a GVRW of 11,800 LBs. What would you recommend? Thanks

I did some research and was not able to find the part numbers you gave for the follower landing gear leg for your 2007 Wilderness. One of the landing gear follower legs we offer is part # LC179014. I cannot guarantee this would be an exact match for your trailer.

I called my contact at an RV retailer and they were not able to find that number either. They said in order to find the landing gear that was installed when it was manufactured you would need the VIN. If you want to let me know what your VIN is I will be glad to see what landing gear originally came on the trailer. Since you said the dual jacks were removed and replaced with single jacks, you would need to know if the mounting brackets were modified or removed as well.

You may decide that you want to replace the landing gear completely on your Fleetwood. If you want to check out some of the landing gear systems we offer I recommend a system like part # BD500161. This is the Bulldog Electric 5th Wheel Landing Gear, and it has a 10,000-lb lift capacity. This system also includes the jack foot that measures 8 inches x 6 inches.
