Can a Bike Rack be Used on the Front of a Ram 2500 when Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer
Question:
will this carrier if fitted to my front receiver clear everything on the front of my truck. I pull a 5th wheel and was thinking about transporting our cruiser bicycles on the front 2inch receiver. Do you see any problems with this a visibility issues also?

To determine if the Swagman XTC bike rack # S64670 will clear the front of your Ram 2500 there is a measurement you will need to take. Measure from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the distance needed to clear everything at the front of the truck.
On the bike carrier, it measures 8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest wheel hoop. But it is only a couple of inches from the pin hole to where the shank starts to bend upward.
A carrier with a straight shank, such as # B01748, could be a better option since it has a straight shank. The straight shank will also provide better visibility. It measures 12-1/4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest upright bar. I have linked a video review of this bike rack for you.
When carrying bikes at the front of a vehicle visibility will be reduced some, the bikes could block the front vehicle lights, and it can restrict airflow to the motor. So keep those things in mind.
If your 5th wheel trailer has a trailer hitch or a 4 inch square steel bumper welded its whole length you could use a trailer approved bike rack. I have included a link to the bike racks that are rated for use at the back of a trailer.
