Strait Line Weight Distribution System Recommendation for a Trailer with 350 lbs Tongue Weight

Question:

Im considering this system for use with my 05 Dodge Ram 2500 SRW, Quad Cab Diesel, towing my 08 Fleetwood Mallard Sport 29foot camp trailer. Tongue weight is about 350 lbs and I dont plan to haul significant loads in the truck while towing. Would you recommend this hitch system for my application? Thanks,

If your loaded tongue weight is going to stay around 350 lbs the Strait Line System part # RP66082 that you referenced would be a great option. The tongue weight range for this system is 200 - 600 lbs so 350 lbs would be perfect.

You should note that the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle will need to be counted as tongue weight as well.

For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
