Troubleshooting Brake Controller that Won't Power On in a 2008 Chevy Silverado

Question:

Installed brake controller 90885 on 2008 chevy silverado 1500. Unit will not power up after install. Checked wiring and power to controller. Still not functioning.

Most likely there are a few connections under the hood of your 2008 Chevy Silverado that still need to be made to allow the brake controller to power up and function. If you check out the install video and help article I attached you will see the connections I referenced.

If there is verified power to the brake controller and the ground connection is good too then the problem would have to be internal of the controller.
