Fifth Wheel Hitch Rail Recommendation for a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 Short Bed

Question:

I have a 2015 Silverado 2500 Duramax with a 6.5foot bed. I will be installing a Pullrite 2700 5th wheel hitch, 15K rating. GVWR of the RV is 12k. 1. Which Rail kit is recommended for this hitch? 2. Does the installation require any cutting of the heat shield for the exhaust system? Thanks.

The Pullrite SuperGlide 2700 will fit the industry standard fifth wheel rails like what we sell for your 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500.

I would recommend a custom install kit like the part # RP50066-58 as this kit has been confirmed as a fit for your vehicle, will install in about half the time as a universal kit and will minimize drilling.

Instead of the Pullrite you may be interested in the Demco Hijacker part # DM8550034 which will also fit these rails. This is an auto slide hitch similar to the Pullrite but is priced better and doesn't require a special adapter like the PullRite does when used with a standard pin box.
