Will a HiJacker 5th Wheel Trailer hitch Fit Curt Rails in a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Long Bed
Question:
I have a 2004 Dodge 3500 2x4 long bed. This rail kit appears to fit well. My question is I have a Hijacker Double Pivot, NOT slider, hitch with no rails. They appear to mount exactly the same, but is not listed as optional. What is your opinion?

It looks like your HiJacker 5th wheel hitch has the 4 tabs at the corners of the base that fit in industry standard above the bed rails. On industry standard rails there are 3 sets of mounting holes. The inner set is 10 inches apart on center, the next set out are 20-1/2 inches apart on center, and the outer set is 29 inches apart on center. From front to back the mounting holes are 22 inches apart on center.
If the mounting tabs on the hitch are spaced 10, 20-1/2, or 29 inches apart on center and 22 inches front to back then it will fit the Curt installation kit # C16420-204. I have included a link to a video showing installation.
To add an in-bed trailer wiring harness to make hooking up easier you can use # HM42137 for your 2004 Dodge Ram 3500. I have linked a video showing installation of the wiring harness as well.
