Brake Control Wiring Adapter for Installing Tekonsha Primus Brake Controller in 2016 Toyota 4Runner

Question:

I already received an email with an answer if this Brake Control would fit on my 2016 4runner...the Tekonsha Primus IQ brake controller part # TK90160 will work in your 2016 Toyota 4Runner but will also require you to use the install harness part # 3041-P. does this mean I have to splice into that harness. thanks

The # 3041-P isn't included with the Tekonsha # TK90160 Primus brake controller, it's sold separately. One end of the # 3041-P would plug into the rear of the controller, the other end would plug into the brake controller connector located above and to the left of the emergency brake pedal. There is a ground wire with a ring terminal that needs to be grounded to metal under the dash, but there will be no cutting or splicing required.
