Thank you for your recent purchase from etrailer. I see that you ordered Curt 4-pole wiring harness # C56291. This is a correct fit for the 2016 Honda Pilot that has the factory tow package.

The ground remains the most likely cause for no signals on your 4-pole. Without a solid bare metal-to-bare metal ground connection the harness will not function. Make sure your ground wire is tightly affixed to a clean bare metal surface on the car. Sand or clean the grounding point to remove paint or primer as needed to ensure good contact.

You can also disconnect the harness and test the pins on the OEM connector on the Pilot to see if they are making it that far. If you do have signals on the OEM plug then your harness may be bad. If you do not have signals on the OEM plug then you can verify that all fuse/relay locations labeled trailer or tow have the correct value fuse or relay installed.

If you can test with a new relay known to be okay this will help you rule out a bad relay as the source of the problem.
