What Is Needed To Upgrade Flat-Towing Components From Roadmaster Falcon To Blackhawk 2 Tow Bar

Question:

I have a Roadmaster falcon tow bar rated at 6,000 pounds. I am towing a 2014 Jeep Grand . I would like to up grade to a Blackhawk 2 10,000 pounds. I have all the other parts. All I would need I think is the tow bar and the safety cables. What would my cost be ? Thank you in advance for your help

The Blackhawk 2 Tow Bar, part # RM-422 would be a great choice for you. This is designed to work well with the Roadmaster EZ, EZ2, MS, MX, XL and Standard base plates. The tow bar also has a quick-disconnect system that makes it easy to mount and remove the tow bar.

Since you said you have the Falcon tow bar, I would guess you have the base plates already. If you do not, for your 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, we offer the Roadmaster Base Plates, part # 521440-1B as long as your Jeep is not the SRT-8 model.

For safety cables I recommend the RoadMaster 68 inch Single Hook, Coiled Safety Cables, part # RM-643. These coiled cables are vinyl-coated to help protect the tow bar finish.

I have attached links to a couple of helpful articles about flat-towing you can check out. If you need any of the mentioned components to flat-tow your Jeep let me know and I can make some recommendations that will work for you.

The cost for any of the products we offer are on the product page of our website.
