2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for Towing

Question:

I will be towing a T@b trailer Outback version, 150- 200lbs tongue weight, 2000lbs GVR, electric brakes with my 2012 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. My jeep has the factory trailer tow group hitch with 2inch receiver, trailer anti sway, 4 pin wiring. I have ordered from you the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 brake controller and installation kit. My question is about how best to support the the tongue weight, keep the Jeep level and not impact rear axle articulation? My first thought is adjustable shocks something like Rancho RS9000XL as we arent talking much weight. Adjustable shocks will keep the Jeep nimble, but will they keep it level with the trailer on the hitch? Also thought of weight distribution system, but cant determine if the factory hitch is rated for WD. Air bags or some bump stop replacement type of device would seem to limit the top end of axle travel - wheel stuff. Is that a correct assumption? What is your best advise for me? Appreciate your help.

For a trailer as light as your a weight distribution system would not really be needed. If your tongue weight is going to be 150-200 lbs you would be looking at a pretty light trailer. I also couldn't find any definitive information on whether a WD system could be used on a Wrangler like yours.

I pulled up the owners manual for your vehicle and there was not mention of weight distribution there at all.

If you were to experience any sag while towing the SumoSprings part # SSR-401-47 would be a great option. These are confirmed to fit your vehicle and will not limit suspension travel in any way.
