4 inch Rise Ball Mount Recommendation for a Mazda CX-7
Question:
Hello I have a Mazda CX-7 that we had a trailer hitch installed and have been pulling a trailer that is 800 - 1200 lbs loaded. I need to raise the hitch bar about 2, can a hitch with a rise of 4inch be used? Will it put more stress on the trailer at the connection that the hitch is installed? Im thinking a longer hitch bar would act like a longer fulcrum and add stress....but maybe over thinking it. Any comments would be appreciated

You should have no problem using a ball mount with a total rise of 4 inches on the 2 inch hitch of your Mazda CX-7. The ball mount wouldn't put any undue stress on the hitch. Hitches are designed for use with ball mounts that have varying heights to allow for trailers to be towed level and a 4 inch rise is a very common amount of rise needed.
For a ball mount that has a 4 inch rise you would want the part # C45070.
I attached a review video for this ball mount for you to check out as well.
