Troubleshooting Green Right Turn and Brake Wire Stays Hot all the Time on 2009 Toyota RAV4
Question:
I recently installed the T-One wiring harness #118412 on my 2009 RAV4. The green wire connection is hot all the time, even with the ignition off. The other wire connections work correctly. Any suggestions on how to correct this would be appreciated.

On your 2009 Toyota RAV4, there is more than 1 connection point that the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118412, could plug in to. The connections are behind the trim panels on each side. You will need the connectors that are closest to the taillights.
I have included a link to the installation details as well as an install video showing installation on a 2008 model.
If you still have a problem, you can test the wires going into the converter box on the harness. If all functions are correct, then the problem is not with the vehicle. If they are not correct either something is mis-wired or there is a problem with the vehicle wiring.
Next, check the functions of the wires coming out of the converter box. If the functions are correct going in to the box, but wrong coming out, then the converter is bad and will need to be replaced.
