If you have a separate bulb to illuminate the license plate, the # ST36RB could be used on the left side.The difference between the # ST36RB light and the # ST37RB is that the # ST37RB has a license plate light to illuminate the trailer's license plate. To mount the # ST36RB on the left hand side may require some modification to fit your application.
