Can 2014 Kia Optima Taillights Be Operated Through Trailer Wiring Harness While Being Flat Towed
Question:
Can this be used in reverse applacation? I need to go from a tow dolly to the kia. So when I apply the breaks from my RV to the tow dolly, the Kia lights will also work. I plan on disconnecting the Kia Battery.

The Curt # C56058 is designed for output only, you wouldn't be able to use it to operate the vehicle's taillights while the vehicle is being towed.
You can either use a magnetic tow lamp like the # RM-2120 or a diode kit like # RM-154.
The magnetic tow lamp would be the simplest option, it wouldn't require cutting and splicing into the existing vehicle wiring. The diode kit would require some cutting and splicing, but once the install is complete, it would be easy to use. I've linked you to an install video showing the diode kit being installed on a similar vehicle.
