What is the Minimum Cross Bar Spread for the Thule Roof Basket with Extension
Question:
Will this rack fit onto Thule cross bars already installed on my pop up camper trailer roof? There are 2 round bars, approximately 1 inch that run the width of the trailer. Also, how far apart can these Thule cross bars be set to receive the Thule Roof Carrier and its extension part th8591xt. They are fixed in place and cannot move. I believe the Thule with extension would be about 69 inches long. So, I need to know if there are specific locations on the Thule where the cross bars need to touch for mounting.

The Thule Canyon XT # TH859XT will fit crossbars between 20 inches to 37 inches, center to center. So the minimum distance is 20 inches.
The mounting brackets on the Thule Roof Mounted Cargo Basket will fit on your square Thule cross bars.
Make sure and check with the trailer manufacturer and find the weight capacity of the roof. The basket weighs 29 pounds and the extension adds another 10 pounds. The extension is part # TH8591XT.
